A spoonful of songsandvideos helps the sadness go down...

Okay so every now and then I feel pretty down and I don't really know why.
Everyone has this sometimes and it's pretty rubbish.
On days like those I never feel like doing anything apart from moping around in my pyjamas all day and eating cake.
So I've decided to give a couple of inspirational/happy/funny videos and feel good songs to you lot so you can watch them if you ever need someone to tell you to get off your arse and do something, or just to make you feel a bit happier. (I know I do!)

How do YOU define yourself - Lizzie Velasquez One of the most inspirational, brave women out there.

The Band of Voices Their God Save the Queen at the end is my favourite part, it's beautiful.

Shaheen Jafargholi I will never watch this and not think how incredible this kid is. It actually makes me cry.

Paperman i.e the cutest animation to walk the earth

Sister Act 2 - Joyful Joyful No matter how many times I watch this, I still get huge chills. One of my       absolute favourite films.

Stand by me - song around the world This video is so clever and I always find myself smiling to myself whenever I watch it.

You are my sunshine - 66 years in love caught on film Definitely need your tissues for this one.

How animals eat their food One you've most probably already seen but If you're sad, watch it. It never fails to make me laugh!

Carrie Hope Fletcher sings a tribute for Lizzy Bremer I absolutely love Carrie and this is so beautiful

Music is also a big part of my life, I don't think a day goes by when I don't listen to music. When I'm feeling down, often listening to music can really cheer me up, especially feel good songs like these:

Bruno Mars - Half time performance at the Superbowl I love Bruno Mars and him and his band never fail to make me smile, they're super cool and I want to be in the band with them!

Rufus Wainwright - I don't know what it is  I do love a bit of Rufus (much to my mum's happiness) and this song makes me feel so happy

Rufus Wainwright - Beautiful Child This song is super happy I love it! (ignore the random fan-made music video it was the only video I could find! Although it is pretty cool, I do love that era!)

Paloma Faith - Love only Leaves you Lonely  Ah the incredible Paloma! I adore this song and her! I realise that the song meaning isn't the most happy, however her voice is enough to put me in a good mood it's that incredible! (*cue smug voice* I'm also very proud to say I was there at this very performance too!)

Etta James - Something's got a hold on me so many of you will recognise this as it has been covered and is on the charts. It makes me massively angry that nobody knows the original which is this which is (in my opinion) better. I love this sort of music and this one in particular makes me want to dance like I'm in a gospel choir!? (I don't know either...)

Jack Johnson - Upside down what I'd call an 'it's okay' song where it makes me say things like 'everything's great' and 'life's good'... because I'm a weirdo...

Jack Johnson - Better together

Bruno Mars - Treasure Literally my favourite song at the moment (which probably means I'm going to hate it soon as I play it so much!) but it makes me want to dance or at the very least tap my feet

The Ramones - My brain is hanging upside down love love love love! dance and chuck yourself about to this one, it makes you feel 100 times better.

Elbow - one day like this from one of my favourite albums - one of my favourite feel good songs

One Republic - Good life old'n but a good'n!

Phil Collins - On my way The songs Phil Collins does for Disney are always amazing and so happy - this is one of my favourites out of the many

Paloma Faith - freedom I will never ever ever get tired of this song. Ever.

Coldplay - Strawberry Swing my absolute favourite band and one of my absolute favourite songs

Blink 182 - All the small things such a predictable one but who cares, if it puts us in a good mood!

Matt Willis - Crash Busted was my childhood. So this song makes me feel nostalgic and happy at the same time! It's a win win situation!

Hairspray - Run and tell that I absolutely love Hairspray and the 50s, so this is a perfect combination - it's such a feel good song!

Pharrell Williams - Happy  says it in the title!

John Newman - Love me again really love this song at the moment - air guitar anyone?!

Eliza Doolittle - Big When I was Little I've loved Eliza Doolittle for years now and this is one of my favourite of hers - so summer-y!

Bombay Bicycle Club - Luna turn this one up full volume

Michael Jackson - Keep the Faith my national anthem when I'm trying to revise...!

Michael Jackson - This is it Beautiful song, so relaxing!

Elbow - Open arms This song makes me feel SUPER happy!

Stevie Wonder - Sir Duke Any Stevie Wonder song will guaranteed make you fell ten times better!

Stevie Wonder - Isn't she lovely

McFly - Obviously Blast from the past! Takes me back to my Pop Party days!

McFly - Love is on the radio I find myself smiling to myself when I listen to this, it's that happy and summery!

Snow Patrol - The Lightning Strike full volume! full volume! full volume!

The Andrews Sisters - Oh Johnny Oh Johnny oh! I love The Andrews Sister so much! In fact I've even named my ukulele after Patty Andrews!

Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy

Bastille - Pompeii turn this up full volume!

Fat Boy Slim - Praise you who doesn't love a bit of Fat Boy Slim?!

American Authors - Best Day of my life

Little Richard - Tutti Frutti  challenge you not to want to dance to this. If you don't you must have some mega mind!

Eliza Doolittle - Nobody

Eliza Doolittle - Checkmate (couldn't find this one on youtube so search it on Spotify! It's worth it, I promise!)

And that's it! My hands and back now ache from being on this laptop for so long so I hope you're happy! Keep an eye on this blog post, as I may add more videos and songs to it:)

 BE HAPPY!!
